Identity verification that runs entirely inside your own cluster. The convoy carries the server-side components of identity verification providers from around the world, so you can choose the provider that fits your market, your customers and your requirements best.
The Identity Verification Convoy is not yet available. Its scope, and the providers it offers, may change before it is released.
What the convoy is
Your choice of provider, on your own infrastructure.
Verifying a customer's identity, by reading an identity document, matching a face to it and confirming that a live person is present, is now part of opening an account or a service in many sectors. Most identity verification is offered as a hosted service, which sends each customer's documents and images to the provider's infrastructure.
The Identity Verification Convoy installs the provider's server-side components in your own cluster instead, delivered and upgraded as Helm charts in the same way as Bahriya Tersane's. The convoy will offer providers from around the world, each in partnership with Mamluk, so it is a choice rather than a single product.
- Entirely within your cluster. Documents, images and results stay inside your perimeter. No data leaves it.
- A choice of providers. Providers differ in the documents, languages and markets they cover; you choose the one that fits best.
- For any sector. The convoy serves any organisation that verifies identity, and other convoys, such as the Banking Convoy, can build on it.
- Built on Tersane. The databases, caches and identity beneath each provider's components are the ones documented here.
Availability
The Identity Verification Convoy is in preparation. The providers it offers, and its installation and configuration documentation, will be published here and in the documentation with its release. The convoy is licensed separately from Tersane.
